We arrived back in Cork yesterday afternoon on a flight from Paris. It is excellent to be back here and see Dave, Rett and Liam again. Liam is so funny, he is such a little man now. Will be catching up with most of the Cork crew over the weekend which we are looking forward to. It is nice to be back in an english speaking country after 2.5 months with alternative first languages.
We had a great night in Paris and met up with Sam M and Sam Spackers who was in town as well for a nice dinner. It was excellent to see both the Sams again, but it had been years since we saw Sam M so it was great to hear how he is enjoying Paris and life in general. Madonna also enjoyed having someone who could speak French find something non-meat related on the menu for her instead of guessing like normal.
In between the last post and now we travelled through part of Austria and into Switzerland, where we spent 5 nights. Switzerland is EXPENSIVE. It was physically painful handing over the cash sometimes. However, Switzerland is absolutely spectacular. Now that we are back in the reach of a free computer with which to download photos from the camera I can put up a few pics to show exactly how spectacular. That is all to come.
In the meantime, I hope you will forgive me the indulgence of putting up a few of the best pics of our trip through the continent. It will be in roughly chronological order, starting with the first instalment of the start of our trip in France. We ended up in France 3 times in total, so there will be a France 2 and 3 later on.
