In the backyard having lunch


Walking through Gabane, a village not far from Gaborone. We walked there on sunday afternoon and spent the evening at a local bar

Sitting around at the bar. There were 3 or 4 bbq's (or Braai's) on the go, and the steaks were massive and cheap.


Cable Theft!! We work up on monday morning to no power or water because the power cable to the house had been stolen the night before. Because copper is so rare, the cables become a good target during the night. You can see the cut off end at the bottom.


Hannes investigating his empty trench. Later that day we concreted in the new cable, so hopefully that is the last time.

A Hornbill on top of its nest in the backyard. He had just passed the stick in through the little slit to another bird on the inside.
